Sant Baba Isher Singh Memorial Library has a collection of 22800 books on various subjects as well as reference books, Hindi, Punjabi and English literature. Library is enriched with various magazines and 8 Daily Newspapers. The aim of library is to provide the needs of users. Separate reading room is provided to students where they can study. A spiritual room is also provided to faculty and students where they can pray and read religious books.
Rules and Regulations
- Users
entering the library must keep their bags at the entrance.
- All
the users must sign the register available at the entrance.
- Silence
must be strictly maintained in the library.
- Eating/beverage/sleeping/talking
are not allowed inside the library.
- Library
card is issued on demand of users and is not transferable and if it lost
immediately be reported to the library.
- Loan
of books can be availed through library card only.
- Use
of mobile phones and other devices likely to cause disturbance are not
permitted inside the library.
- Newspapers
must be read only in the library on specific table and should not be taken
to any other reading areas.
- Journals/
Reference books/Periodicals are not available for loan.
- Marking,
damaging, scratching, stealing library materials or property will invite
disciplinary action against the defaulters.
- The
period of loan will be 14 days for students.
- If
a book/ book borrowed from the Library is/are lost or damaged, the matter
must be reported to the Librarian immediately and it should be replaced
with a new copy. If the replacement is not possible, the user has to
recover the cost of the lost or damaged book.
